Story Finished For Mental Health

 I wrote and finished Only Fools Pray for Mercy in the Underworld in 21 days. Roughly sitting at 37K to 40K words, so it's a short story.  

The premise is where love can defy all odds. The protagonist is cannon fodder for a devil lord, due to a previous collaboration with the angels, he connected to an angel lord named Gabriel and so begins their love affair.  So, this story is supernatural boys' love where the couple is devoted to each other. This devotion creates ripples to the cosmic order and triggers a war. 

This month has been the worst. I'm sure it has been for a lot of people. I've faced a myriad of experiences to sink my mind into depression. So, having the privilege to write a story and re-organize my feelings and mental capabilities this way helps. It's probably the first time I was able to finish a story within the same month. I guess it's not all doom and gloom. 

I think as NaNoWriMo comes up, doing a challenge like this might help the mind heal or clear out any issues lingering in there. 

At least, getting this story done has helped me be more ready to finish off my main works in progress.  Hopefully, my luck will pick up from there.

Clumsy Kick Off to Story Sharing Strategy

 

I published the first completed volume for BL romance title, Clumsy Mr. President: Work Hard Don't Die.  The first volume is titled, Vol.1: Plonked by a Potted Plant.

Unless it exists on illegal aggregator sites, the latest update isn't available anywhere else.

Only on Google Play for various reasons, but also mainly for the flexible costing options.  I can set all my 20K+ word #epibooks at $0.69 cents.  A perfect price for a bitty BL experience, and some. 

The format is PDF fixed, as I was able to format images better this way. With Acrobat's enhanced image resolution capabilities and phone computing improvements, PDF seems to be the way to go these days. 

Hopefully, it nabs a sale. If not, another to add to my Goodsread portfolio.

This title release makes my strategy plan a reality. And I'm excited about it.  Going forward, all my stories will be released this way.

Now that To Like A♥Man is finished, my focus is set for my next works in progress to complete. Going for my personal best, I'll be doing two stories at the same time for year-end finishes.

• Cannon Fodder 4 Hire: We've Got Your Back and Theirs, and Theirs, and Theirs Too

Doing both at the same time satisfies my vision and mission of saturating my author brand name on Google with my book junk.

  

Successful completion of both will ensure my personal best of having more than two works completed per year.

Both will be self-published into paperback and ebooks once completed.

To Like A♥Man is Officially Completed

I'm happy to declare that BL Drama, To Like A♥Man (TLAM), is officially completed. After two and a half long years of procrastination and slow updates. The story has reached a natural end.  To celebrate, I'm taking a look at its history.

Another story that was conceived during a Webnovel.com WPC.  It was the first time I was receiving reader comments for a story I was writing in progress.   The result was beyond my expectation of being ranked fifth place. Considering the last WPC I had participated in was a DQ failure, I was ecstatic that I was part of the winning list.

It was around this time that TapRead was opening up its site for original stories.  With so many WIP on my list, I had intended to drop this story, so I could complete To My Sunflower with focus.   I was going through an intense time in my life too. So, I was doing my best to juggle my story load without having to completely drop any.

And TLAM was on the drop list, but a passionate response from a reader made me realize there was still a desire to complete the story.  TapRead was promoting their site on Twitter, so I decided to give it a go.

After uploading a few chapters, I was pleasantly shocked to see it featured on their homepage. And also receive a rating and review for it. This show of support rekindled my motivation to continue with the story's journey.  

Over time, reader interest was increasing. But the story managed to achieve my personal best of 1K reader interest within 3 months. It was the first time I had ever earned that much reader interest in a short period of time.

Eventually, I was offered a contract for the story at TapRead. 

There have been many cover changes to reflect the change in the story's tone.  And the final version wraps up the entire story undertone.

The next stage of this story is an intended paperback. For now, I'm taking a break to enjoy the moment and sort out my WIP strategy for my other works.

This CEO Boys Love is hitting the halfway mark and approaching the climactic stages.  It's getting exciting!  Well, I'm excited. I hope  I have readers for this story who are too. 

So, what does this mean going forward? As noted in my Ko-fi post update, the story will be protected behind a paywall filter. It won't break the bank and be of more benefit to TapRead than myself. 

I'm keen to see if people are willing to pay for this story. It'll be an interesting experience.
